What are the main types of motor testing systems?

The motor testing system is an important link in the comprehensive evaluation of motor assembly quality and technical performance, and is an important process in motor manufacturing and production. The motor testing system is mainly divided into four categories according to the type of testing product: motor testing system, motor stator testing system, motor rotor testing system, and motor dynamometer.

1、 Motor testing system

Generally, professional motor testing equipment is used to test the tested motor, and customization is made according to the product to be tested. Conventional features include voltage resistance, resistance, inter turn, low start, no-load, and steering.

2、 Motor stator testing system

The motor stator testing system is mainly divided into two testing methods: one is conventional stator testing, and the other is stator vacuum testing. Compared with the two, stator vacuum testing is more accurate because it can detect coil defects more accurately when tested under negative pressure.

In addition to conventional resistance and turn to turn tests, the stator of a conventional water pump motor can also be tested for its reverse embedding and steering at once. The testing time for a single speed stator is only 4 seconds, and the testing speed is fast.


3、 Motor rotor testing system

In the past few years, most manufacturers did not conduct inspections on motor rotors. However, in recent years, with the increasing awareness of safety and quality, various manufacturers have also conducted pre factory inspections on rotors.

Generally, rotors are divided into cast aluminum rotors (squirrel cage rotors), armature rotors, and permanent magnet rotors. This time, it still depends on how the commonly used cast aluminum rotors for water pump motors are tested.

The main purpose of testing the cast aluminum rotor of a water pump is to test the fullness of its guide groove and the leakage between the squirrel cage and the iron chip. Simply put, it is to test the broken bars, fine bars, air holes, bubbles, and amplitude of the cast aluminum rotor. Some manufacturers also test the end ring resistance and reactance values.


4、 Dynamometer

The dynamometer is mainly used to test the power of engines and to test their transmitted power. It is mainly divided into hydraulic dynamometer, eddy current dynamometer, and electric dynamometer. Let me briefly introduce the electric dynamometer.

The electric dynamometer mainly tests the basic parameters of the motor, such as voltage, voltage, current, power, speed, torque, efficiency, etc. It can also conduct life tests and temperature rise tests.

Nowadays, motor testing systems are more user-friendly, with designers developing and designing from the customer's perspective, and equipped with dynamic instructions and automatic guidance for easier use.
